MAGGIE BOLAND
SOPRANO
Born and raised in the heart of Minnesota, soprano Maggie Boland began exploring her love for singing at a young age. While Disney movies in the 1990s may have sparked her interest in singing, it was the strong Midwest Lutheran choral tradition that really fanned the flames. To this day, singing in a choir is her favorite form of singing. She attended Luther College in Decorah, IA where she graduated with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Music Education. She was a member of Nordic Choir and co-founded the student led chamber ensemble, Jubilus.
Music degree in Vocal Performance from Northern Arizona University, where she sang with the Shrine of the Ages Choir, Chamber Choir, and performed the roles of Fiordiligi in Così fan tutte, Suor Genovieffa in Suor Angelica, and Miss Wordsworth in Albert Herring.
Maggie moved to New York City in 2013 and regularly appears with Manhattan Chorale, New York Choral Society, and Parish Choir at Trinity Lutheran Church. She was thrilled to be part of the New York City workshop and Studio Cast Recording of Disney’s The Hunchback of Notre Dame. When she isn't busy singing, she enjoys reading a good novel or cheering on her favorite sports team, the Minnesota Twins.
